Zen Asset Management Co.,Ltd. was established in 2006 by a group of professionals who have more than 20 years of experience in international investment banking industry. It has provided a service of venture capital investment, financial advisory, M&A advisory, turnaround advisory, Capital & Business tie-ups, fundraising and IPO advisory. Since 2016, the Company has been focusing on a corporate investment and management consulting. Our scope of investment varies from small venture to matured corporations including retail, production, IT and service industry so long as these corporations correspond to our philosophy of 『然』『善』『禅』『全』.
All corporations start up from the founder, then develop and expand. When the development process goes on for years, there comes out a tendency that the management decision will gradually rely more on the experimental rule. This is because the experimental rule is evidenced by the fact of success in the past. However, considering that the environment surrounding the corporations keeps changing day by day, the experimental rule should be relativized. Making the experimental rule absolute will become an obstacle for a further development of the corporations. There are many examples that excited venture spirit of a new emerging corporation automatically converted to the obligation of making money by monetary operation in the development process, and eventually the corporation has disappeared from the world.
Now is a fast progress era of technologies and there is an environment that a paradigm shift in various fields will happen easier than before. Our investment policy is rather philosophical, thus needs a theory to implement our policy. Among the theories surrounding the corporations, there are an economic theory, a management theory, and a legal & sociological theory. These theories are not absolute, but can explain reproducibility and can function as a compass for the management decision. We require that the corporations should always confirm where they stand now while verifying the difference between the theory and the experimental rule, which often comes out when the corporations evolve. And, investors should follow the same process as well.
